Mom's Christmas Gift

My mom doesn't have the Internet right now so I know it's okay to post this without ruining her surprise...Mom's Christmas Socks! The yarn is a bit busy for the pattern to show well, but I like the idea that the lace hearts you can hardly see are like a little secret we'll share :) Plus, they'll go so well with her "bold" collection of sweatshirts and "lounging around the house" pants!




The pattern is the Heddas Sock and is a free download on Ravelry. There aren't a lot of projects listed, but I can tell you that the pattern moves VERY quickly! It is a bit scary at first since the kid & women's sizes are on one pattern, but I just blacked out all the kid size stuff right away & it wasn't nearly so confusing. The only changes I've made so far are that I did 4 leg repeats rather then 5 and a reinforced heel (sl 1, k1 on the RS, sl 1, P across on WS) after the bottom of the heart was done.
